What you need to know

Masonic trousers are traditionally styled in a black and grey striped material and are paired with a Herringbone jacket to complete the outfit. They are worn for special or formal occasions including weddings, and are very popular.

My Formal Masonic Trousers are made from 100% British Wool, and are available in the traditional stripe or in black herringbone . (Please order a FREE material sample if you wish to view the fabric) British Fabric is fantastic for any occasion in any climate. It has a unique structure that will keep you warm in Winter and cool in Summer. It is a light material which is soft to touch and is extremely smart.

Style Features

I have styled these trousers in the traditional design, with a button and clip fastening and straight legs. The trousers are shown in the photo with single pleats, I have desgined them with plain fronts in the personalisation stage. Please feel free to change this option to your own preference. I have added brace buttons and waist tighteners to add to the formal look.

You can change and alter many of the features shown above, you can add pleats and belt loops or change the fastening. Please feel free to take a look at the other personalisations we have to offer and put your own touch to your perfect formal trousers.

Trouser Build Quality

I add extra details to the suits to make sure that they are of the best quality. I put D stitches at the edges of all the pockets to reinforce and strengthen them to stop tearing and splitting. I have also put an extra strong bar tack in the crotch of the trousers to ensure that my trousers will never split across that area. This is a detail that I believe should be on all suits, however due to it being time consuming to add and therefore expensive for the manufacturer and tailor, it is generally missed off.

A Little Bit About the Fabric

Here is a little bit more information about why I use British Wool. British weaving involves a 2 core yarn, this means that the fabric will go back to its original shape, it also has a 2 fold in the weft and the warp, this makes the fabric balanced and will not twist whilst it is hanging.

Wool also naturally repels water away from your body, making it the perfect suit for Summer. It is also a fantastic suit for Winter as the weave is tightly woven and the wind cannot blow through it the way it can through a lighter fabric.
