What you need to know

This suit has everything you would expect from a classic Shawl Collar Dinner Suit. It is perfect for formal occasions, romantic evenings or special events.

I have made this suit using 1/100s Worsted Wool from Yorkshire UK. British fabric is fantastic as it will keep you warm during the colder months, but it will also keep you cool when the weather gets warmer, due to its unique structure. It is a soft material that is light and durable; this is why British fabrics are considered such high quality.

Style Features

I have designed this suit to follow the traditional style of a Shawl Collar Dinner Suit. I have put the classic Satin Shawl Collar, with Flap Pockets and 1 button fastening. The trousers are plain fronted with straight legs and the satin stripe down the outside of each leg. I have also added waist adjusters and brace buttons and a pocket to the right at the rear.
You can add or change many of the features of this suit in the personalisation stage if you wish.

There are many colours to choose for linings and piping’s, these are available to view in the personalisation stage.
I have already chosen colours that I believe match the colour of the suit you have chosen, but please feel free to choose your own and add your personal touch to your suit.

There are some features of the suit that I believe make the suit what it is, and changing these would take away the unique style, therefore there will be no option to change these aspects. Please see below.

  • I have added a floating canvas to this suit as it greatly improves quality and wear. It is something that is normally only found in Bespoke Suits at top market price.
  • This suit has a one button front, changing this would change the dynamic of the suit, it wouldn’t sit right or wear right and it wouldn’t look as traditional or classical.
  • The Shawl Collar itself is another aspect that cannot be changed. The Shawl Collar makes this suit what it is, classic, elegant, formal and sophisticated.

Suit Build Quality

I go to the trouble of adding extra details onto my suits in order to produce and offer the very best. I add D stitches to the corners of the pocket to strengthen them, this is something that I think should be on all suits and if you check your current wardrobe you will find that many suits (even high end suits) will not have this as it is time consuming to add and therefore expensive. I also add extra bar tacks to the crotch of the trousers, so I know my trousers will never split there.

A bit about the fabric

I need to explain a little bit about why the fabric I am using is so special. It is a British fabric with a 2 core yarn. This means that the fabric will bounce back to its original shape easily. In the weft and the warp it is also 2 fold, the makes the material balanced and stops it from twisting when hanging. I have chosen Wool as it also naturally wicks water away from the body so it is fantastic for the warmer months. The tight weave also means it is great for the colder weather as it stops the wind blowing through the material.
